Egypt Sherrod Shares Glimpse of New Show After ‘Married to Real Estate’ Cancellation

Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson will seemingly be back on the small screen sooner rather than later.

The couple’s flagship HGTV series, Married to Real Estate, was canceled after four seasons in June 2025. The series was one of several home renovation shows the network axed last year, including Bargain Block, Izzy Does It, Farmhouse Fixer, Christina on the Coast, and The Flipping El Moussas.

In addition to continuing work through their company, Indigo Road Realty & Design, the duo revealed in an April interview with USA Today that they have two new shows in the works, titled Home Abroad with Egypt and Mike and Deserving Design.

Now, Sherrod is sharing a glimpse of one of the projects via Instagram. “Sometimes a setback is a setup for a QUANTUM LEAP. We are back to business. New show loading!” she captioned a behind-the-scenes video from filming on Friday, August 28.

In the clip, Sherrod discussed renovation plans that would let their client get the kitchen island size they want. “You know that’s why we have plans, right? You have to stick to them,” Jackson said begrudgingly. Sherrod jokingly replied, “But a woman reserves the right to change her mind.”

Fans shared their excitement for the new show in the post’s comments. “Aye Aye Aye Aye!! Im so excited (in my Pointer Sisters voice),” one user wrote. Another added, “Yessss the dream team is BACK!” Someone else shared, “Yay!!! I missed seeing y’all on my tv screen.”

A different person posted, “YAAAAAAY..I MISSED Y’ALL SO MUCH..MY FAVS.” A separate commenter stated, “I am so happy for you and your team and I am waiting patiently.” HGTV’s Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt also hopped in the comments, writing, “Yes!!! Best news I’ve heard this week.”

Sherrod also teased that the new shows may not air on HGTV. Replying to a fan comment that asked, “When and where as in network,” she wrote, “Stay tuned!!! Not announced yet.”

Back in April, Sherrod told USA Today that her and Jackson’s upcoming shows “reflect all the things that are important to us,” adding, “For those who have watched us for years, they know we believe in giving back and paying it forward. That is what we are passionate about. At the core, these projects speak to our desire to help people, to build legacy and to use real estate and design to build impact.”

She shared more details about the projects and hinted at Married to Real Estate‘s return in a May interview with OK! Magazine. “One show is called Home Abroad. So I’ve been traveling around, and you’ll obviously find out more about that soon, but it’s been amazing,” Sherrod told the outlet. “It’s been great to travel with my husband, see the world and still do what we love, and we’re in production for Married to Real Estate. I’m very excited about that.”
