Mary Murphy Returns to ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ As a Judge

All aboard the Hot Tamale Train! Fox has announced that legendary dancer/choreographer Mary Murphy will return to So You Think You Can Dance as a judge for Season 14.
She will be joining returning judge and executive producer Nigel Lythgoe and host Cat Deeley. A third judge will be announced at a later date. Auditions for the upcoming season are currently being held in New York and Los Angeles.
“I am thrilled that Mary will return to So You Think You Can Dance and I’m sure the fans will be, as well. She brings an energy and enthusiasm that’s contagious and I can’t wait for her to join me on the judging panel. I’ve got a pair of earplugs ready, and another for our third resident judge, as well,” said Lythgoe in a statement from Fox.
Murphy was an original judge on the series from 2005-2009, and returned for a brief stint from 2011-2014. She left after Season 11
TV Insider can’t wait to welcome back Murphy and her enthusiastic shrieks, and we look forward to seeing more of her and Lythgoe’s loving, and sometimes uncomfortable, banter.
