‘Bull’ Casts ‘Jane The Virgin’ Star As Bull’s Ex-Wife

We’ve been hearing about the ex-wife of Dr. Jason Bull (Michael Weatherly) since the Bull series pilot and we’re finally going to meet her. Jane The Virgin‘s Yara Martinez will guest star in an upcoming episode of the CBS drama as Isabella “Izzy” Colón, who is not only the estranged wife of Bull but also the estranged sister of Bull’s lawyer colleague Benny (Freddy Rodriguez). The episode does not have an airdate yet but, according to the network, is likely to air in December.

Bull, the No. 1 new program this season with an average of 17.32 million viewers, is off to a strong start and earlier this week was granted a full season by CBS. The series stars Weatherly as an expert trial consultant and is based on the early career of talk show host Phil McGraw.

In the episode, Izzy, a hugely successful fashion, health and lifestyle blogger, has made a fortune in running her Bella Colón Brands organization. However, when it’s alleged that one of her products may have caused the death of a woman, she shows up to get help from both her brother and her ex.

On Jane the Virgin, Martinez plays Luisa, the often unhinged sister of Rafael (Justin Baldoni). The CW series returned for its third season earlier this week.
