What’s Worth Watching: Stevie Wonder Grammy Salute
Stevie Wonder: Songs in the Key of Life—An All-Star Grammy Salute (Monday, Feb. 16, 9/8c, CBS)
“Music is a world within itself/With a language we all understand/With an equal opportunity/For all to sing, dance and clap their hands.” Words to live (and groove) by from Stevie Wonder in the immortal “Sir Duke” from his 1976 Album of the Year Songs in the Key of Life. This and other classics by the legendary 25-time Grammy winner are given new interpretations by contemporary superstars, who assembled at Los Angeles’s Nokia Theatre on February 10, two nights after the Grammy Awards, to tape a two-hour concert special. Among those who can say they “feel it all over” are Lady Gaga, John Legend, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Usher, Janelle Monae, and the Band Perry.
