‘Strike Back’ Villain, Will Yun Lee, Is Heading to ‘Dr. Ken’
He’s striking back!
Will Yun Lee, who’s currently starring as the baddie Kwon on the final season of Cinemax’s Strike Back, will next appear on an episode of ABC’s Ken Jeong-led sitcom, Dr. Ken.
In the episode, which airs in November, he’ll play Dr. Kevin O’Connell, a very handsome Korean doctor who dated Dr. Ken’s wife Allison (Suzy Nakamura) in med school. Consequently, he’s Ken’s rival.
“We wanted a guy who was unbelievably good looking and chill, and someone who would be threatening if you found out that your wife had dated him in the past,” says executive producer Mike Sikowitz. “And he was the guy.”
Fans may also recognize Lee from his stints on Hawaii Five-O (as Sang Min) and True Blood (as Gus), and his feature films The Wolverine and San Andreas. On Dr. Ken’s guest star lineup, he joins Margaret Cho, who was previously announced to be playing Ken’s sister in an October episode.
Dr. Ken, premieres Friday, Oct. 2, 8:30/7:30c, ABC
