‘Russian Doll’: Netflix Teases Nadia & Alan’s Season 2 Return in First Look (PHOTOS)
Netflix is giving viewers their first look at the long-awaited second season of its twisty series Russian Doll.
In several sneak peek photos, Natasha Lyonne‘s Nadia, Charlie Barnett‘s Alan, and Greta Lee‘s Maxine return for another twisty adventure. Season two is set four years after the events of Season 1, which originally debuted in early 2019.
Following Nadia and Alan’s escape from morality’s time loop together, the pair continue to explore existential thematic through a humorous and sci-fi lens. As their exploration carries on through Season 2, they’ll discover a fate even worse than endless death.
Nadia and Alan are delving deeper into their pasts through an unexpected time portal located in one of Manhattan’s most notorious locations. Where that location is will remain to be seen as viewers tune in when Season 2 does eventually arrive.
At first, they experience this as an intergenerational adventure that expands and spans eras only to discover that this extraordinary event might be more than either of them bargained for. Will they be able to make their way out of this predicament? Nadia and Alan will have to search for the answers.
As viewers will recall, Nadia and Alan met in Season 1 when they both found themselves living the same days over and over again, dying and waking in an endless time loop. Returning as showrunner and executive producer is star Natasha Lyonne. Alongside her are fellow executive producers Alex Buono, Amy Poehler, Leslye Headland, Lilly Burns, Tony Hernandez, Dave Becky, Kate Arend, Regina Corrado, and Allison Silverman.
