2022 Oscars Add Fan-Voted Categories for Fave Movie & Most Cheer-Worthy Moment
Is this how Spider-Man: No Way Home is going to get an Oscars-related win? If you felt like your favorite film was snubbed when the nominations were announced on February 8 for the 2022 Academy Awards, then you’re in luck: You can now make your voice heard (as long as many others agree with you).
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has revealed that fans can vote for their Favorite Movie 0f 2021 (to be recognized during the show) as well as the Most Cheer-Worthy Movie Moment Ever. You can vote on Twitter using hashtags #OscarsFanFavorite and #OscarsCheerMoment and #Sweepstakes or on the website (oscarsfanfavorite.com), until March 3. By voting for Favorite Movie, you’re entered for a chance to win a trip to the Oscars in 2023 (and be a guest presenter), while voting for Cheer Moment could score you a year of free movies (passes to a theatre chain and a streaming subscription to Disney+, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, HBO Max and Hulu).
Make movie history this year with #OscarsFanFavorite and #OscarsCheerMoment.

The 10 movies up for Best Picture for the 2022 Oscars are Belfast, Coda, Don’t Look Up, Drive My Car, Dune, King Richard, Licorice Pizza, Nightmare Alley, The Power of the Dog, and West Side Story, but there are many more that didn’t make that list, including those nominated in other categories.
For this year’s ceremony, The Power of the Dog received the most nominations (with 12), followed by Dune (with 10). While some had been talking about the aforementioned latest Spider-Man movie for a possible Best Picture nomination, its only recognition came in the Visual Effects category.
