‘The Afterparty’ First Look: Zoë Gets Animated For Her Interrogation (VIDEO)
The Afterparty is getting animated with its latest episode on Apple TV+ and we have an exclusive first look at the fun featuring Zoë (Zoë Chao).
In the promo Zoë is seen getting candid about her intentions for a night out at the class reunion that eventually went awry at Xavier’s (Dave Franco) afterparty. During her interrogation with Detective Danner (Tiffany Haddish), Zoë’s memories get a cartoon treatment and a split personality.
“I used to be fun, fun Zoë. And somewhere deep inside my cluttered brain, she is still there, ready to do jaeger shots off the belly button of life. So tonight, I let her out,” she explains to the detective. And so, the animation transforms as day-to-day Zoë turns back into “fun” Zoë.
To demonstrate this properly to Detective Danner though, in reality, Zoë is basically having a conversation with herself, only proving to make her appear crazier than she actually is in this moment. “Oh wow, I have been cramped in there since the day you got pregnant, Jesus Christ,” fun Zoë laments. “You’re gonna have to make up for some lost time.”
What kind of fun will she get up to? Anything’s possible and as a divorced, single mom, Zoë certainly has a lot of pent-up emotions. Catch the fun clip, above, and don’t miss the latest episode of Apple TV+’s quirky comedy as yet another viewpoint of the same fated night is unraveled.
