James Remar Beats a Path to ‘Gotham’

They say you can’t pick your family and Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) is gonna learn that the Gotham way when James Remar comes to town. The Path actor is set to recur on Fox’s stylish pre-Batman saga as Frank Gordon, Jim’s uncle who abandoned the family after the fatal car crash that killed Jim’s father 25 years ago.

Described as “a master at playing both sides and a man who knows how to keep a secret,” we’re to assume that Frank is back to reconnect with his nephew, but he’s also harboring a dark truth “that will upset the very foundations of Jim’s world and force him into a terrible choice between saving his family and saving his city.” And with this madness virus running amok, that is no bueno.

Remar will first appear in episode 314, airing this winter.
