‘Euphoria’: Brian Cox Channels Inner Cassie Howard In Hilarious Sketch (VIDEO)
Jimmy Kimmel gave us the Succession and Euphoria crossover we never knew we needed. In a March 14 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Succession star Brian Cox reenacted the Oklahoma! bathroom scene from Euphoria Season 2 Episode 3, “Ruminations: Big and Little Bullys.” And he played Sydney Sweeney’s Cassie.
Wearing a blue and white checkered button-down shirt and a cowboy hat, Cox was edited into the scene with Euphoria characters Maddy (Alexa Demie), Kat (Barbie Ferreira), Rue (Zendaya), and Lexi (Maude Apatow). He recites Cassie’s lines word for word.
After Maddy’s “B*tch, you better be joking” line (now one of the best memes from Season 2), Cox goes into Cassie’s unforgettable rant. And it’s impossible not to see it as Logan Roy going on one of his staple rants.
“No! Yes! F**k it!” he says. “I am in love with Nate Jacobs and he is in love with me! And don’t you f**king give me that look, Maddy, because I didn’t f**k your boyfriend. You two were broken up for three weeks and three days before we even had sex, so I didn’t betray you. Plus, you guys are terrible for each other and you know I’m right. And you guys can judge me all you want, but I do not care. I have never, ever been happier!”
Of course, Cassie’s rant was all in her head. What she actually did was stare straight ahead, saying nothing. Cox’s version added a new line here, and honestly, it fits.
“Don’t f**k with me, Maddy,” he says. “I’m one crazy a** b*tch.”
And just like that, we’re realizing Logan and Cassie have a shockingly similar vibe. Fans can’t get enough of the hilarious sketch.
“No this is the best thing ever!!!” one fan tweeted. “Brian Cox (Logan Roy from Succession) as Cassie from Euphoria doing the Oklahoma scene? My worlds are colliding.”
“Maybe I’d watch euphoria if Brian Cox played all the characters,” another fan tweeted. Another user had the idea to let Sweeney take on a Logan Roy rant next.
“OK, but please let Sydney Sweeney do the ‘life is a fight for a knife in the mud’ monologue next,” they posted. Honestly, we’d like to see it.
