CBS Winter/Spring Premiere Dates: ‘Training Day’, ‘Ransom’, ‘Doubt’ and More

This afternoon, CBS announced its winter/spring schedule and there are plenty of favorites returning as well as some new titles.

The new year will begin with Ransom, a crime drama about a successful hostage negotiator who works on ransom cases. This new show will air regularly in the 8/7c time slot on Saturdays (yes, you read that right: an original series that’s not about to be canceled will be airing on Saturdays), while the next new series set to premiere is Training Day based 15 years after the famous film starring Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke. The thriller is led by actors Bill Paxton and Justin Cornwell will premiere Feb. 2, and play in the 10/9c slot on Thursdays.

Doubt rounds out the new scripted series premiering this season on CBS and is helmed by Katherine Heigl as an attorney who falls for the wrong person. The drama will premiere on Feb. 15 and will air regularly in the 10/9c slot on Wednesdays. Returning series include Undercover Boss (Dec. 21), Survivor (March 8) and The Amazing Race, which will have been off the air for 11 months when it returns on April 21.

The new competition series Hunted will premiere at the previously announced date on Jan. 22 and will move to its regular Wednesday slot on Jan. 25.

Two other series, Superior Donuts and last year’s midseason hit Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, will have their deubt dates set at a later date. For the full announced schedule see the listings below:
