Former Law & Order: SVU co-stars Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay may no longer work together, but they’re still pals in real life. On Tuesday, Meloni posted a reunion selfie of the dynamic duo that is worthy of a holiday card.

Meloni captioned the cute cuddle, “Friends at Xmas” while Hargitay showed off her punny side, using clever tags including “#ChrisMas,” “AVeryBenslerChristmas” and “#HomeMeloni.”

Friends at Xmas.

Meloni’s character, Detective Elliot Stabler retired from SVU after the series’ 12th season, but Hargitay’s Olivia Benson, who has risen up the ranks of the NYPD to Lieutenant, is still putting away sexual predators in the NBC show’s 18th season.

We love seeing that the onscreen TV detectives still have an off-screen friendship, but this does get us thinking: could a reunion of #Bensler be in the works? Unlikely, but we can dream.
