‘Atlanta’s Donald Glover Inks Major Deal at FX

Donald Glover may play a lovable loser on award-winning Atlanta, but in real life, the newly minted Golden Globe winner is pretty much crushing it.
FX announced Thursday that they had signed the Community vet to an exclusive overall television production deal to develop series content for FX Networks, other nets and streaming services. In addition, he will also continue to write, produce, star and direct Atlanta.
Nick Grad and Eric Schrier, the Presidents of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions made the announcement at the Television Critics Association winter press tour in Pasadena, hailing Glover as “a remarkable artist” and calling his work on the Globe’s Best Television Series, Comedy or Musical “just the beginning” of Glover getting the chance to bring his “creative vision into incredible television.”
