‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F’ Trailer is Here (VIDEO)

Eddie Murphy is back as famous Detroit native turned Beverly Hills cop Detective Axel Foley in a brand-new film called Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, over 30 years in the making. Murphy starred as Foley in the first three Beverly Hills Cop movies, which premiered in 1984, 1987, and 1994. Netflix is working on the fourth movie and has given a few sneak peeks at the cast and plot.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F will premiere on the streaming service Netflix sometime in the summer of 2024.

Murphy returns as Axel Foley. Taylour Paige will play his daughter and his new partner will be played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Judge Reinhold (Billy Rosewood) and John Ashton (John Taggart) will reprise their roles in the new film. Kevin Bacon, Paul Reiser, and Bronson Pinchot will round out the main cast. Franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer is also returning for the film and shared some new details on Murphy and Gordon-Levitt working together.

He said, “He gets stuck with Axel, and they are hysterical together. Joseph is such a great straight man for Eddie.” As for Murphy, he said, “Anytime he walks on set, you never know what you’re going to get. And it’s always pretty brilliant.” Now, Netflix has finally released a teaser trailer.
