‘Honey Boo Boo’ Matriarch Is Back in Trailer for ‘Mama June: From Not to Hot’ (VIDEO)

Mix up a fresh batch of go-go juice, because one of reality TV’s most eyebrow-raising broods is back! Mama June (June Shannon), of Honey Boo Boo fame, will chronicle her life-changing journey — where she makes drastic emotional, physical and life changes—in a new WE tv docu-dramedy, Mama June: From Not to Hot. (We wish they’d found a way to use the words “beautimous” or “seximous”in the title.)

Season 1 checks in on what Mama June has been up to since audiences last saw her—from the moment she learns that her Ex (Sugar Bear) is getting hitched, to the shocking reveal of her “new look.” June will undergo extensive plastic surgeries and intensive workouts with no-nonsense trainer Kenya Crooks. And of course, June’s daughters — Alana “Honey Boo Boo” and Lauryn “Pumpkin;” close friends —Bog Mike, Doe Doe and Amber; and even enemies like Sugar Bear and his new fiancee Jennifer; will weigh in on June’s life changes.

Viewers first met Mama June’s precocious daughter, Alana—A.K.A. “Honey Boo Boo”—on TLC’s Toddler’s and Tiaras. Reality-TV stardom came a-calling for the outspoken family, and they starred in the TLC’s spinoff Here Come’s Honey Boo Boo. The series was canceled after it was revealed June dated a man convicted of molesting one of her daughters. And June and her longtime lover, Mark “Sugar Bear” Thompson, attempted to work through their differences on WE tv’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, before calling their relationship quits.
