‘Yo Gabba Gabbaland!’ Celebrates the ‘Special Part’ of Everyone — Watch Sneak Peek With Lauren Lapkus (VIDEO)
Some friends, you just never forget. And for a generation of now-grown fans, those friends were kind of freaky. And freakin’ awesome.
Which is why Yo Gabba Gabbaland! is must-visit viewing. Because Apple TV+‘s reboot of the acclaimed and so-cool Emmy-nominated pop-cultural fave “Yo Gabba Gabba!” is bringing back our favorite come-to-life toys Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Toodee, and Plex for a 10-episode reminder that life is a lot more fun when you’re groovin’. Case in point: TV Insider’s exclusive clip above featuring Lauren Lapkus (Orange is the New Black) and a toe-tapping ode to the differences that make everyone special.
Created by musicians Christian Jacobs and Scott Schultz of The Aquabats, Yo Gabba Gabba! crushed it in the kids TV category for four widely spread-out seasons from 2007 to 2015. A technicolor mashup of tunes, lessons, animation, and celebrity guests, their new endeavor aims to honor the vibe of the original with what Apple TV+’s release calls “a dazzling lineup of new friends” along with our old aforementioned costumed pals. But this time, instead of DJ Lance Rock, GabbaLand and the Gabba Friends “are all brought to life through the imagination of new host, Kammy Kam, played by rising star Kamryn Smith (Come Dance with Me).”
In addition to Lapkus, Chelsea Peretti (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Sam Richardson (The Afterparty), Utkarsh Ambudkar (Ghosts), Gillian Jacobs (Transatlantic), DJ Diplo, The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea, and rapper Big Daddy Kane are among Season 1 guests bringing their cool all across the Gabbaland. And we want to go to there.
