‘Chicago Fire’ Promo Teases Major Shakeups at 51 — Who’s Pascal Firing? (VIDEO)

At the end of the latest Chicago Fire Season 13 episode, Lieutenant Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) told his half-brother, Damon (Michael Bradway), on Truck under Lieutenant Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), that, after he lied to protect him, they can’t work at the same firehouse and one of them has to go. Now, the promo for the October 9 episode, “All Kinds of Crazy,” teases at least one major change coming to 51.

In the video, at the scene of a fire, Chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney), gives the call to evacuate, but did it come too late? One firefighter is blown out a window, and it’s not looking good! Watch the promo to see who’s in trouble.

Plus, Pascal tells someone, “You’ve broken my trust” and “I’m dismissing you from this firehouse,” which could be connected or from two different scenes. It’s unclear to whom he’s speaking, but the promo does show flashes of Kidd, Damon, and Severide after.

According to the episode’s description, Severide’s working an arson case again, investigating a fire at a family-owned restaurant with OFI’s (Office of Fire Investigation) Captain Tom Van Meter (Tim Hopper). Also, Pascal questions Kidd’s leadership.

Pascal and Kidd have been clashing since he took over Wallace Boden’s (Eamonn Walker) office. In the premiere, she admitted to Severide that she missed having Boden at 51; he was more than just her boss, he walked her down the aisle. But even so, there was something about Pascal that made her nervous, and Severide agreed there’s something off about him. Kidd continued to have issues with how Pascal was running things in the second episode, with the chief wanting to continue to sit down with the lieutenants after calls to go over why they made the decisions they did.

And it was during one of those sit-downs with Severide that Pascal brought up the lieutenant and his wife Kidd working in the same house on the same shift together, technically against the rules. He could see they found a way to manage it, considering how long they’ve been working together, but he wanted Severide to be aware he’ll be keeping an eye on him. Later, Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso) asked if his lieutenant brought up his familial relationship with Damon; Severide hadn’t. Could that be coming into play in Season 13 Episode 3 and that’s why Pascal’s dismissing someone from the firehouse?
