Eminem Reveals Daughter Hailie Jade’s Pregnancy in New Music Video

Eminem is becoming a grandfather! The 51-year-old rapper, who shot into superstardom in 1999 with his single, “My Name Is,” has always been a proud dad to his three daughters and is now overjoyed to welcome a new addition to the Mathers family. The Missouri-born musician is well-known by the moniker Slim Shady, but his real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers.

Hailie Jade Mathers, his only biological daughter, was included in Eminem’s latest music video, “Temporary,” on October 3.” Together, they teased her pregnancy. The song is dedicated to the 28-year-old Just A Little Shady podcast host. Toward the end of the video, Mathers hands her rapper dad a Detroit Lions jersey emblazoned with the word “grandpa” in bold letters on the back. His shocked reaction is captured alongside the loving gaze that follows afterward.

Both the rapper and his daughter are fans of their home state’s football team. Mathers’ pregnancy comes just four months after Mathers and her husband Evan McClintock got married in May 2024. The wedding took place in Greencrest Manor in Battle Creek, Michigan, and proved to be an intimate gathering. Her dad and his famous buddies, including Dr. Dre and 50 Cent, were in attendance.

The couple got engaged in February 2023, after McClintock asked for Eminem’s blessing during the holiday season in 2022. They originally met at their joint alma mater, Michigan State University, in 2016.

Fans of the 8 Mile star flooded to the comments to share their excitement. Some reacted in funny ways such as, “”Nobody wants to hear their grandfather rap.” Others shared endearing statements like, “Eminem being a grandad is the most beautiful news I’ve ever heard today. He just had to make me cry.”

In the “Temporary” video, there are many photos and videos shown of Mathers as a child, as well as footage from her intimate wedding. The private “Lose Yourself” singer even included a shot of him crying during the nuptials and their endearing father-daughter dance at the wedding.

Eminem has two other kids besides Mathers with ex-wife Kim Scott. He legally adopted his oldest daughters Alaina Marie and Stevie Laine Mathers. Alaina Marie’s biological mother is Scott’s twin sister, Dawn Scott, meanwhile, Stevie Laine was born after an affair Scott had. A true family man, Eminem also raised his younger half-brother.
