Blake Shelton Pays Sweet Tribute to Gwen Stefani on Her 55th Birthday

Blake Shelton took to Instagram on Thursday, October 3, to mark his wife Gwen Stefani‘s 55th birthday, sharing a slideshow of sweet photos of the couple from over the years.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my favorite girl.. my pretty girl @gwenstefani!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!” Shelton captioned the gallery of photos.

The first pic shows the happy couple smiling for a selfie close-up to the camera. The next image sees the pair performing on stage together.

In the third photo, Stefani is seen sitting on Shelton’s lap. And in the final snap, the two of them are seen in a car’s side-view mirror.

Stefani reshared the post on her Instagram Story, alongside a video of Shelton singing her Happy Birthday and presenting her with a gift. In the clip, the Voice coach opens the present to reveal a necklace with the number “9” pendant.

“Oh my gosh, number nine!” Stefani says. “Nine years together. Every year he gets me it. I love you.”

Stefani also shared videos of her and Shelton taking an afternoon hike and later celebrating with a pink birthday cake.

The “Hollerback Girl” singer opened up about her relationship with Shelton when she appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Wednesday, October 2.

Explaining one of the reasons she fell in love with the country star, Stefani said, “You’ll never get through a day without laughing. You know what I mean? Which is just — it doesn’t even matter like what’s going on. The guy has so much patience, and so much kindness in his heart. It just makes you happier every single day.”

Last week, Stefani and Shelton introduced fans to a new addition to their family, a stray kitten they named Corn.

“This is Corn Shelton,” Stefani wrote on Instagram on Thursday, September 26, alongside a video of the kitty. “The day he showed up to our home, he was hardly alive [and] so sick, but with a lot of love [and] nurturing, he became a healthy kitten. We’re so grateful that he’s a part of our family.”

Corn made his debut on The Voice last week when Stefani tried to use the cute pet as a bargaining tactic to land a singer on her team.
