SAG Awards TV Winners: Who Took Home the Trophies?
Actors honored actors at last night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, the latest ceremony in the ongoing season of statuettes. And though the event is getting the same buzz the Golden Globes got for highlighting diversity on the small screen, there wasn’t much overlap in the lists of winners for television categories. Here’s a look at which TV show stars brought home trophies (and what they had to say about it.)
Outstanding Performance By an Ensemble in a Drama Series
Winner: Downton Abbey
What They Said: The group passed the statue from person to person with peppy enthusiasm, thanking casting director, crew and viewers like you. “I want to thank the Downton Abbey cast for letting me come up with them,” said Allen Leech (Tom), who was sitting at another table with the cast from the movie The Imitation Game.
Other Nominees:
Boardwalk Empire
Downton Abbey
Game of Thrones
Homeland
House of Cards
Outstanding Performance By an Ensemble in a Comedy Series
Winner: Orange Is the New Black
What They Said: Uzo Aduba did the talking, offering a “massive thank you” to series creator Jenji Kohan and Netflix as the camera slowly panned the massive cast crowding the stage.
Other Nominees:
The Big Bang Theory
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Modern Family
Veep
Outstanding Performance By a Male Actor in a Drama Series
Winner: Kevin Spacey, House of Cards
What They Said: Nothing, but only because he wasn’t there. (He had plenty to say earlier this month when he picked up the Golden Globe. Spacey was the only television honoree to win his category at both ceremonies.)

Peter Dinklage, Game of Thrones
Woody Harrelson, True Detective
Matthew McConaughey, True Detective
