Justified showrunner Graham Yost and Falling Skies star Noah Wyle are developing a new limited series at FX.

First reported by Variety, TV Insider has confirmed that the show, currently titled Those Angry Days, will cover American politics over the four years before the United States decided to involve itself in World War II, as Hitler attempted to annex much of continental Europe for the Third Reich. Yost is no stranger to the era, having served as a writer on HBO’s Band of Brothers and co-executive producer on Band follow-on The Pacific.

Wyle—whose specific role is currently undetermined, though one possibility is legendary newsman Edward R. Murrow—is just wrapping up the final season of TNT’s Falling Skies (on which Yost was an executive producer for Season 1), and Justified just began its sixth and last season on FX. Speaking in December about the possibility of doing more work with FX, Yost indicated the creative latitude at the network was an incentive to keep the relationship alive: “There are so many places to do shows now,” he said. “But we’re aware that we’re lucky we got to do Justified pretty much the way we wanted to do it. So if [another show] transpires…”

Limited series are all the rage these days, particularly at FX. American Horror Story, Fargo, and Ryan Murphy’s upcoming American Crime Story are all shows in this vein. “This is something we’re going to be doing a fair amount of,” FX Networks CEO John Landgraf said in an October interview. “What excites me about this form is, it’s a whole new canvas for storytellers to paint on.”
