What To Know

  • AMC released a teaser trailer for Season 3 of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches during the latest Vampire Lestat episode.
  • The new episodes take place in Salem, Massachusetts.

Something witchy this way comes… just not right now.

Fans of AMC’s Immortal Universe finally got a peek at the upcoming third season of  Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches when a teaser trailer dropped during the July 12 head-turning (get it?) episode of The Vampire Lestat. And it seems that the American Horror Story “Coven” ladies aren’t the only ones making a scene this weekend.

In the rapid-fire bit, we get some clips from the past two seasons of sorcery and sicko family drama featuring Alexandra Daddario‘s Rowan Mayfair and her twisted kin, as well as snippets of shots from the new season.

That chapter, slated to premiere in 2027, is set in witch-central Salem, MA, and according to AMC Global Media’s release, “will dive deeper into the mythology of witchcraft, introduce new ‘spellbound’ families and feature some of the historical happenings of Salem, the infamous town of witch trials and folklore.”

Joining Daddario again will be joined by Harry Hamlin as  patriarch Cortland Mayfair, Alyssa Jirrels as cousin Moira and Tongayi Chirisa as Talamasca agent Ciprien Grieve. New additions include Breaking Bad‘s Betsy Brandt, Michiel Huisman, Little Women‘s Eliza Scanlen, James Frain, and Better Call Saul alum Omar Maskati.

The trailer also comes after The Vampire Lestat Episode 6 introduced a Mayfair witch who has yet to be seen in this series: Merrick, played by Sarah Afful. This is the titular character of the seventh book in The Vampire Chronicles. It’s unclear if that appearance means she’ll pop up on Mayfair.
