Gotham

Gotham, “The Fearsome Dr. Crane” (Monday, February 2, 8/7c, Fox)

Villains rule on Fox’s freshman drama, Gotham. Jada Pinkett Smith chews up every piece of scenery as the sinister Fish Mooney, and Robin Lord Taylor is a revelation as the young Oswald Cobblepot (a.k.a. the future Penguin). Tonight, the two evildoers go head to head after Oswald betrays Fish, leaving Detectives Gordon and Bullock to track a new serial killer who targets victims with severe phobias. Fans of the Batman source material are in for a thrill as this new lunatic sets the stage for one of the most iconic villains in the comic books: Scarecrow. Gordon must also deal with an anxious Bruce Wayne, who is getting increasingly frustrated at the lack of results in the investigation into his parents’ murders. Start your training, Bruce, because the city will need a hero very soon.
