‘Ted Lasso’: Will More Original Stars Return in Season 4? Nick Mohammed Weighs In

Ted Lasso Season 4 is nearly over as the final few episodes remain, but is there room for more original cast members to make a comeback?

While some of the OGs have stuck around, including Ted (Jason Sudeikis), Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham), Higgins (Jeremy Swift), Beard (Brendan Hunt), Roy (Brett Goldstein), and Keeley (Juno Temple), most of Season 4 has revolved around building up the women’s team at A.F.C. Richmond.

Although Season 4 has paved a path back for several other favorites, like Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster) and Trent Crimm (James Lance), it feels like there’s room for more. At least, Nick Mohammed, who played Nathan Shelley, isn’t closing the door yet. “Well, we’ve seen Jamie Tart now. We’ve seen Trent Crimm [pop] up… Danny Rojas’s sister popped up… We’ll have to see, I guess,” Mohammed said when we asked him about the odds of his return to the series before Season 4 is through.

Mohammed was on the red carpet in New York City on Tuesday, September 22, to celebrate the premiere of his latest TV project, War, which is slated to premiere on HBO on October 1. He portrays Michael Stefanou, an employee of the firm Taylor & Byrne, in the legal drama costarring Sienna Miller, Dominic West, Archie Renaux, Phoebe Fox, James McArdle, Pip Torrens, and Nina Sosanya, among others.

It’s definitely a far cry from the football pitch, but Mohammed’s words give us hope as he said, “I’d just say, keep watching and keep believing.” While the positive tease is only a tease, the most recent episode of Ted Lasso suggested that Rupert (Anthony Head) may return as Higgins began to uncover a scheme to purchase A.F.C. Richmond shares.
