We’re calling it now: The Flash–Supergirl musical episode is going to a total delight. How can it not be, when you have Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) tripping the light fantastic, as seen in this exclusive peek at the wildly anticipated two-parter?

The crossover, which begins at the end of the March 20th Supergirl and concludes in the March 21st episode of The Flash, also features fellow Glee vet Darren Criss as DC Comics villain Music Meister, who zaps the pair into a movie-musical alt world full of gangsters, romance and lavish production numbers. Among the tunes showcased are “Running Home to You,” a ditty for Barry written by Oscar-winning La La Land pair Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and “Super Friend,” a duet for Barry and Kara from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend dynamo Rachel Bloom.
“Think about it,” says Blake Neely, the clearly impressed composer for all four of the Arrowverse dramas. “We have Grant and Melissa together, two Glee graduates, doing their thing. It’s a lot of fun.”
