‘Bull’ Adds Eliza Dushku to the Defense Team

Is Michael Weatherly‘s Dr. Jason Bull getting a new love interest before Bull wraps its first season?
Eliza Dushku, best known for her iconic role of Faith on Buffy the Vampire Slayer as well as roles on Banshee, Dollhouse and the feature film Bring It On, is joining the cast beginning with the May 9 episode. She’ll play J.P. Nunnelly, the head of the best New York criminal defense team, who is hired by Bull when a member of his Trial Analysis Corporation team could wind up in prison.
While there’s no word yet whether Dushku’s character will have a romantic entanglement with Weatherly’s, Bull hasn’t had the best track record with women thus far, so that could be an added development in the casting.
Freshman series Bull, which started out of the gate as a ratings hit, was renewed earlier today for a second season and stars Weatherly, Freddy Rodriguez, Geneva Carr, Jaime Lee Kirchner, Annabelle Attanasio and Christopher Jackson.
