First Look: Abigail Breslin and Colt Prattes in ‘(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life’ ‘Dirty Dancing’ Finale

Abigail Breslin had the time of her life filming the final song-and-dance number of ABC’s upcoming musical remake of Dirty Dancing. She plays the Jennifer Grey role of Baby opposite Colt Prattes’ Johnny. However, she says preparing for it was one of the hardest things she’s ever done.

Breslin took extra care mastering the iconic moves to the Oscar-winning song “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.” “There was this weight of everyone loving it so much,” says the actress. She and Prattes spent days practicing the scene’s famous lift. “Just being graceful is a big enough feat for me,” Breslin says, “but being graceful while in the air? It was terrifying. Yet we pulled it off—partially due to Colt’s talent, but also due to the fact that he knew I would murder him if he dropped me.”
