What’s Worth Watching: Agent Carter vs Leviathan

Agent Carter, “Valediction” (Tuesday, Feb. 24, 9/8c, ABC)

The SSR should really have a file on everyone who hasn’t been watching this stellar spy drama; not doing so is tantamount to treason. Hayley Atwell is Agent Peggy Carter, former comrade of Captain America and currently underused agent in S.H.I.E.L.D. precursor the SSR; Dominic Cooper’s Howard Stark is exactly the kind of rogue for whom we can see someone like Peggy developing an intense loyalty; and James D’Arcy’s prim manservant Jarvis has an astonishing chemistry with Ms. Carter. Peggy’s season-long journey to clear Howard’s name has brought the full might of Leviathan down on her, but given everything we’ve seen Peggy do, we’re not too worried about her.

By the way, this is currently being billed by ABC as the “season” finale, so theoretically there’s still a shot at getting more adventures from Peggy, Howard, and Jarvis. Or there will be, if you all watch.
