What’s Worth Watching: Chasing Life’s Hot Double Date

Chasing Life, “Life, Actually” (Monday, 2/9, 9/8c, ABC Family)

First off, can we have a round of applause for this beautiful little family drama? Seriously, there is so much more to Life than just being “the cancer show,” and we could not love leading lady Italia Ricci anymore if we tried. Which is why we want the best for her Boston journalist April, even if she has made some questionable choices lately. Leo over Dominic? Still not feeling it. Nor, apparently is her bestie Beth (Aisha Dee), which leads the ladies to embark on a double date tonight in hopes of getting to know one another’s beau a little better. To say it doesn’t go as well as they hoped would be an understatement, but it’s nothing compared to how messed up things get for widowed mom Sara (Mary Page Keller) after her “casual” new fling takes a very complicated turn. Oh these Carver women. Always Chasing the wrong men.
