‘Timeless’ Renewed for Season 2 After Initial Cancellation
Did NBC decide to travel back in time to correct a wrong? It sure seems so, because Timeless, previously canceled by the peacock network, will be back for Season 2.
Executive producer Eric Kripke revealed in a tweet Saturday that NBC has ordered 10 more episodes of the time-traveling drama. The new episodes will air in 2018.
Series star Matt Lanter took to Twitter to celebrate the good news, tweeting, “Mission #ResuscitateTimeless completed.”

Lanter also announced the news via his Facebook page.
During its first season, Timeless was the fourth-highest scripted series when delayed viewing was factored in, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The series stars Abigail Spencer, Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Goran Višnjić, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey and Claudia Doumit.
