‘Quantico’ Renewed for Shortened Season 3
Monday night’s finale of Quantico will serve as a season, not series, finale. The FBI-turned-CIA drama starring Priyanka Chopra (Alex Parrish) will return for Season 3, ABC announced.
In addition to shortened, 13-episode third season, executive producer Joshua Safran will give up showrunner duties, TV Line reports. Safran will remain with the show as a consultant.
“I will be consulting with the show moving forward, but I will not be with the show on a day-to-day level,” Safran told the site. “I love the show, so I’ll be making sure it stays what it is.”
Thank you for watching. It’s been an honor and a pleasure creating for you. Our beautiful finale airs tonight, then it’s onto other dreams!

Quantico has struggled to maintain the ratings success it saw in its much-buzzed about first season, averaging a 0.7 rating in its second season in the coveted 18-49 demo (down 45%). The spy thriller is also down 36% in total viewers, averaging 2.8 million viewers.
As for what Season 3 holds for Alex Parrish and her fellow operatives, that remains to be seen, according to the @QuanticoWriters Twitter handle.
We don’t know any more than you guys do, so for tonight, lets enjoy this exceptional episode written by @Anthologist & directed by Jim McKay
