New CMT Trailer Previews Midseason Return of ‘Nashville’ (VIDEO)

CMT has released a trailer for a new run of Nashville Season 5 episodes that air Thursdays beginning June 1.
The new promo spotlights Juliette’s (Hayden Panettiere) struggle to return to the spotlight, Deacon’s (Charles Esten) struggles as a single dad, Scarlett’s (Clare Bowen) baby-daddy drama, Zach’s (Cameron Scoggins) steamy new relationship—and a few exciting new additions.
Late of Hart of Dixie, Rachel Bilson joins Nashville as Alyssa Greene, a Silicon Valley (ooooh!) marketing expert who is brought in to up Highway 65’s profile. Tough on the outside, but possibly tender on the inside, Rachel proudly hates country music (oooooh!) — but she loves a good win at the office. And that’s all that counts to her.

Empire‘s Kaitlin Doubleday also signs on as Jessie Caine, a singer/songwriter who left Nashville in disgrace, but is back with a vengeance to reclaim her career and the son who was taken from her.
According to CMT, Doubleday makes her Nashville debut during the show’s 100th episode on June 15. Bilson arrives several episodes later.
