What’s Worth Watching: An Office Breakup on Suits

Suits, “Denial” (Wednesday, June 24, 9/8c, USA Network)

Most divorces don’t seem as shattering as the fallout from the workplace split between cocky lawyer supremo Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and his feisty ex-secretary Donna (Sarah Rafferty), who has left her one-time amour for his office nemesis, Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman). As the fifth season of USA’s best ongoing series begins, Harvey’s a wreck, seeking therapy and meds to get him over the post-Donna panic attacks he’s in denial about experiencing. As for the perennially paranoid misfit-turned-name partner Louis, he can’t believe his luck, so much so that he nearly destroys the new “Team Litt” before it can get started.

With Harvey’s usual laser focus faltering amid the usual turmoil in this sexy legal drama, will anyone even be able to celebrate the good news of Mike’s (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel’s (Meghan Markle) engagement? At least one relationship is working out on this show.
