New Photo: Gillian Anderson as Scully on ‘The X-Files’ Set
“Agent Mulder? I’m Dana Scully. I’ve been assigned to work with you.” It’s been 22 years since Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny first began their run on The X-Files, and now they’re back with Fox’s six-episode reboot.
“It’s nice to be back in Vancouver,” where the original series filmed its first five seasons, Anderson tells us. “The weather is beautiful right now in Vancouver, so it makes those 17-hour days not bite so much.”
Anderson has a packed plate these days, juggling NBC’s Hannibal, the upcoming BBC miniseries War and Peace (airing in the U.S. on A&E, Lifetime and History) and the third season of BBC’s The Fall (which streams here on Netflix) in addition to The X-Files. “I don’t have a great deal of time, so the only way that we could really do it was if we did it in a really short stack,” Anderson says of X-Files. “Yes it’s a reunion but there aren’t many of them.”
Fans will take what they can get, however. Here’s a exclusive look at Anderson back on set as Scully, as production continues in Vancouver on a six-episode The X-Files event series set to air in January on Fox.
Details are still under wraps, but this photo comes from the series’ first all-new episode, “My Struggle,” written and directed by creator Chris Carter. The episode airs Sunday, Jan. 24 immediately after the NFC Championship game. Believe.
