What’s Worth Watching: Jane the Virgin’s Special Delivery

Jane the Virgin, “Chapter Twenty-Two” (Monday, May 11, 9/8c, The CW)

It should be noted that The CW’s charming freshman comedy Jane the Virgin concludes its first season tonight with the arrival of this year’s most anticipated star: Jane’s (Gina Rodriguez) baby! But before his or her grand entrance, the Villanueva family must come together after Xo (Andrea Navedo) and Rogelio (Jaime Camil) find themselves thousands of miles away rehearsing for their stage show in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Jane’s past love interests Michael (Brett Dier) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) put their differences aside and come together to help Jane during her labor. However, Rafael’s ex Petra (Yael Grobglas) uncovers a shocking revelation about Rafael that she debates sharing. It’s a season finale full of heart, humor and one or two twists that will have viewers praying for a quick return in Season 2.
