The Bold and the Beautiful Recruits Drumline Star Rome Flynn
With a name like that, he just had to end up on a soap! Actor Rome Flynn, who played the gay drummer Leon in VH1’s Drumline: A New Beat, is joining CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful in a role familiar to longtime viewers. He’ll play Zende, the AIDS orphan from Africa who was adopted by Kristen Forrester (Tracy Melchior) and her husband, Antonio Dominguez (Paulo Benedeti) in a 2001-02 storyline.
According to a B&B rep, Zende will return to the Forrester fold thanks to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Pam (Alley Mills), who want the young man to be an intern at Forrester Creations and learn the family business. Just one catch: Ridge and Pam don’t want the other interns to know Zende is a Forrester. Among those also applying for an internship at the company is young firestarter Nicole Avant (Reign Edwards). When she and Zende meet, sparks fly.
Look for Flynn to hit the air June 29.
