‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 25 Cast Announced: Drew Scott, Nikki Bella and More
After weeks of speculation, the cast and pairings for Season 25 of Dancing With the Stars have finally been revealed. The sequin-spangled announcement was made live during the Sept. 6 broadcast of ABC’s Good Morning America and TV Insider was waiting with bated breath. This season, the ballroom will be graced by actors and athletes, but also a shark, a fish, and a Fisher.
Professional dancer Mark Ballas returns to the competition series after taking a two-season-long hiatus. He made the announcement Aug. 24 on Good Morning America and said that he “missed being creative” and is looking forward to “doing what I do best, and it’s going to be fun.” He is paired with violinist and performance artist, Lindsay Stirling, which is a match made in creative genius heaven.
Also returning to the ballroom is professional dancer Cheryl Burke. The two-time DWTS champ is paired with flashy former NFL star, Terrell Owens. T.O was known for his elaborate end zone antics, so he and Burke should be early contenders.
Another dancer making a buzz this season is Alan Bersten, who moves up from the dance troupe. Fans might remember him from Season 24 when he stepped in for Maks while the latter recovered from a calf injury. Bersten is paired with ’80s pop singer Debbie Gibson.
But perhaps the biggest story of the season will be the double-married combos, as celebs Nick and Vanessa Lachey will compete against each other and are paired with married pros Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy.
