Criminal Minds star Thomas Gibson steps behind the camera for a fifth time to direct the CBS series’ October 28 episode, which has the BAU tracking a graffiti artist/kidnapper who likes to incorporate bodies into his displays.

“One thing you have to remember [when directing] is the imagination fills in the blanks,” says Gibson (with costar Aisha Tyler). “Implicit gore is much more effective than explicit gore.”
