‘Fixer Upper’s Final Season Will Feature Celebrity Guests
Chip and Joanna Gaines are back as the couple who demolishes, renovates, and decorates homes in Waco, Texas. HGTV’s hit series Fixer Upper is about to premiere its fifth and final season on November 21 and there are a few surprises in store.
Season 5 features 19 one-hour episodes and special guest stars such as former First Lady Laura Bush and former NFL player Tim Tebow.
“We are really, really proud of season five. We laid it all on the field and didn’t hold anything back,” Chip said in a statement. Joanna added, “We love renovating homes for all these beautiful families. It has become such a big part of our lives.”
The couple announced in September that they would end their successful run on TV to focus on their other growing businesses. “This journey has been indescribable. We are making the announcement today that the fifth season, which will begin in November and take us all the way through the second quarter of 2018, will be our last,” Chip said at the time in post on their Magnolia blog.
But you can still get a little taste of Chip and Joanna in May 2018. The couple also has a spin-off series coming out called Fixer Upper: Behind the Design. It will give fans a half-hour, behind the scenes look at Jo’s creative design process—shiplap and all!
