Golden Globes Winner Maura Tierney on How ‘The Affair’ Will Change Again in Season 3

Golden Globes win for The Affair‘s sophomore year, she told reporters backstage that the Showtime series will likely be shaking things up again for its third season.
“They’re still working on it, but I don’t believe they are going to add any more perspectives,” Tierney said, after the show expanded to four alternating POVs in season 2. “The show is going to change; the structure of the show is going to change again, in an interesting and exciting way. They’re still working on it. It’s going to be structured in a different way.”
Tierney declined to elaborate on what the shift might be because it wasn’t set in stone, but “the idea is a great idea.”
