Ray Liotta will play himself on an episode of NBC's Great News

Whatta goodfella.

TVInsider has learned exclusively that Ray Liotta is set to appear as himself on an upcoming episode of NBC’s Great News. The New Jersey native—who is currently starring on the network’s Shades of Blue as a corrupt police chief dealing with moles, informants and Jennifer Lopez’s incredible lighting—will fittingly offer Katie (Briga Heelan) and Carol (Andrea Martin) some helpful inside info when they head to the Garden State to track down a source.

This isn’t the first time the actor has worked in the world of Tina Fey-produced comedies. He played a gas-station owner whose “customers only” bathroom policy drove Titus (Tituss Burgess) into a life of crime on an episode of Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt last season.

Great News, Thursdays, 9:30/8:30c, NBC
