NHL Thanksgiving Showdown 2017: Penguins at Bruins Preview
Didn’t get enough elbowing, roughing or cross-checking at the Black Friday sales? NBC airs the 2017 NHL Thanksgiving Showdown on Friday, Nov. 24, at 1/noon c, as Sidney Crosby and the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins head to Boston’s TD Garden to face Patrice Bergeron and the Bruins.
The Thanksgiving Showdown is the first of nine NHL games to air on NBC in the 2017-18 regular season. Mike “Doc” Emrick has the play-by-play call for NBC, with analyst Mike Milbury and inside-the-glass analyst Pierre McGuire. Pregame and intermission studio shows are hosted by Liam McHugh with analyst Keith Jones.
