‘Code Black’ Casting News: Boris Kodjoe Joins the Show in a Recurring Role
The Last Man on Earth star Boris Kodjoe (Phil Miller #2) is shifting gears from a chaotic post-apocalyptic world to a chaotic hospital when he joins Code Black. Per the CBS press release, Kodjoe will have a recurring role as Dr. Will Campbell, “a suave surgeon whose surgical skills and personal charm are only outweighed by his ego.”
And in an intense ER hospital setting, Dr. Campbell’s arrogance means he’ll clash with the other doctors, especially Dr. Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey). The two men will compete to see who’s the top surgeon.

Speaking about Kodjoe’s character, executive producer Michael Seitzman said, “He’s a character viewers will love, but also love to hate.”
The actor has also played himself on The Real Husbands of Hollywood, and he’s a daytime talk show hose alongside his wife, Nicole Ari Parker, on The Boris & Nicole Show. He also appeared alongside Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Belle) in the canceled J.J. Abrams show spy couple show, Undercovers.
