It looks like Facebook is in it to win it— they just picked up a 10-episode order for a scripted dramedy series featuring Marvel’s The Avengers star Elizabeth Olsen!

The social media giant has already launched a streaming service called Facebook Watch, and Deadline reports that the currently-untitled project is the first premium show to join said service.

Details on the show are currently limited, but it is rumored that Olsen will play a young grief-stricken widow trying to reconnect with people from her past. Originally, it was set to air on Showtime, but negotiations fell through. The project will be executive produced by the 28-year-old actress and written by playwright Kit Steinkellner (Z: The Beginning of Everything), who created the show.

“I couldn’t be prouder of the group we have brought together for this show,” said Olsen of the project. “Kit’s story has been near and dear to me for years and I can’t wait to share our dark, funny, and complicated show with the world.”

Also attached are Switched at Birth creator Lizzy Weiss as a showrunner and James Ponsoldt (Master of None), who will executive produce, as well. The straight-to-series order is a big deal, as the half-hour, female-centric show’s team is changing the game in social media streaming.

We’ll have to wait for a premiere date, as more casting needs to take place. But based on the time frame, it is likely to go live on Facebook Watch either late this year or early next year.
