‘Marvel’s Jessica Jones’ Has Been Renewed for Season 2
Marvel’s Jessica Jones is about to do more sleuthing for Netflix.
The series, which has become one of the most-watched for Netflix (according to anecdotal data), has been given a second-season order. The show’s first batch of 13 episodes premiered on November 20.

Krysten Ritter stars as Jessica Jones, a woman who has survived personal trauma and who gave up using her powers as a super hero, now working as a private investigator in Hell’s Kitchen. David Tennant, Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty and Wil Traval also star.
Melissa Rosenberg (Twilight) is the showrunner and executive producer, while Liz Friedman and Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb also executive produce.
Jessica Jones is one of several Marvel shows being produced for Netflix, all of which will lead up to the crossover miniseries Defenders.The first of those shows, Daredevil, has already been given a second season. The next one, Luke Cage, stars Colter, who also plays the character on Jessica Jones.
