Jake’s (Andy Samberg) birthday party will go up in smoke on the February 2 episode of Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
He brings girlfriend Amy (Melissa Fumero) home to meet his mom, Karen (Katey Sagal), but a surprise appearance by Jake’s estranged dad, Roger (Bradley Whitford), squashes the celebration. “It’s a shock for Jake to see him again,” Samberg says. “He’s taken off-guard.”
But Samberg was excited to share the screen with the two comedy vets. “When seasoned actors come in and are genuinely good, it always makes me look way better than I am,” he says.
