CBS Orders Pilot for Tina Fey-Robert Carlock Produced Comedy ‘The Kicker’

CBS is looking to get into business with Tina Fey.
The network has ordered a pilot for The Kicker, a multi-cam comedy, about a quirky athlete who drives everyone crazy after he’s (unexpectedly) cut from his pro football team.
The pilot is written by 30 Rock/Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt scribe Jack Burditt, with Fey and Robert Carlock serving as executive producers. Additionally, David Miner will serve as a non-writing executive producer.
Universal Television is producing The Kicker in association with Little Stranger, Inc.
