‘Lohan Beach Club’: Lindsay Lohan Returns to Television With MTV Reality Show (VIDEO)
“Pack your bags. We’re going to Mykonos,” says Lindsay Lohan.
The Mean Girls star is headed to MTV with a new reality television series, tentatively called Lohan Beach Club, which she’s also producing.
The show will follow Lohan as she shows off her entrepreneurial side and runs three different beach nightclubs in Greece.
“Lohan Beach Club [working title] offers viewers VIP access to one of the most exclusive destinations in the world, and a behind the scenes look at how a young, successful entrepreneur runs her empire,” MTV Programming and Development President Nina Diaz said in a statement.
“We are thrilled to have such a passionate and creative partner in Lindsay to help explore this intriguing culture, all through the eyes of her brand.”
The synopsis also teases Lohan’s struggle to find true friends and stay out of trouble on the party island. This will be her first time back on the small-screen since 2014, when she was the focus of the OWN docuseries Lindsay, which, at the time, documented the troubled star’s rehabilitation. She also recently completed a role on the upcoming second season of the British sitcom Sick Note, alongside Rupert Grint and Nick Frost.
Finally some good news for Lohan, who was seemingly not asked to return for the recently-announced Life Size sequel on Freeform (her role will be replaced by grown-ish star Francia Raisa).
