‘The Good Place’ Cast Teases What to Expect From the Season 3 Reset (VIDEO)

Comic-Con
When NBC’s philosophical comedy The Good Place returns this fall, there will be more questions than, ‘What does it mean to live a good life?‘
For starters, how about, ‘What the heck is going on?!‘ The Mike Schur-created series basically rebooted at the end of Season 2 (don’t read on if you don’t want to be spoiled!) by sending its four former earthlings back home via an alternate timeline to relive their deaths as near-deaths. Will this experiment see the four — Eleanor (Kristen Bell), Chidi (William Jackson Harper), Tahani (Jameela Jamil) and Jason (Manny Jacinto) — turn out as good people? We’re not holding our breath, but it’s possible.
In the TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine video suite at San Diego Comic-Con, we grilled four of the cast members — Harper, Jacinto, D’Arcy Carden (Janet), and Marc Evan Jackson (Shawn) — about what’s to come.
It seems they’re not anticipating too much actual growth for their characters (and would we love as much them if they truly changed?!), as Jacinto simply wishes the lovable, Jaguars-obsessed Jason would just be “10 percent smarter than what he was previously.” We’ll see about that.
