The Return of ‘Bones’: New Art Teases New Cases (PHOTO)

Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) are (almost) back!

With the second half of Bones’ Season 11 set to premiere on April 14, Fox has revealed new return art (below) for the long-running drama, with the tagline, “New cases dead ahead.”

Though the art is fairly cheerful, Bones will have some serious topics ahead in its penultimate season: the premiere will deal with the fallout of Hodgins’ (TJ Thyne) paralysis, and the newest serial killer arc will kick off in the April 28 episode.

On the lighter side, the Bones characters will be followed around by a documentary crew in an upcoming hour, and the show will have several hockey-themed storylines.

And there’s more Bones to come: the series has already been renewed for a 12th (and final) season.

Bones returns Thursday, April 14 at 8/7c on Fox.
